Just thought I would add on to the last post from Kemba.

For her label's 40th anniversary, Rei has created a new way to capture consumption....
The concept was launched in May with just a handful of stores from Tokyo to New York as well as London and Paris. The collection features the label's popular styles remade in black and favorite fabrics such as the polka dot print. Each retail space is an optical mix of black boxes dropped into stark white interiors that will feature new stock every 6 weeks. Adrian Joffe, Rei's husband and managing director of Comme, says that Black is about reacting to the current economic downturn. "It was necessary to do something to counter the feeling of things being blocked or stopped because of the crisis," he says.
The line is rumored to be around as long as the recession lasts.
Definitely something to bring out the old dusty piggy bank for.

Speaking of Comme des Garcons and Rei Kawakubo, I'm always on the search for pieces that are actually accessable to me...... but.... can never find them. UNTIL NOW. An online shop has surfaced that carries the likes of Comme, Rei, Junya Watanabe, Yohji, Margiela and Limi Feu.
Score.
They also offer free shipping within the US and an extra 30% off.
Score.
Now why do they have to have this perfect Junya wool knit cape for me to lust over...... gah...
anybody have $735 laying around?

Melodie.
